ORIGINAL PSLS
American Dream: Set in the Mid-Western states in the 1950's. A pair of teenagers decide that they just can't take High School and the idea of the dull lives that lay before them. They hop into a car and just take off, they quickly run out of money so they turn to crime to make money. One night something goes very wrong and they end up killing someone, they go on the run only to realize how much they enjoy killing. Their crime spree turns into a killing spree with the cops always on their heels. Character choice and PB is up to you.

Persona: Relatively modern setting, any time after 1965 to the present. A young nurse is assigned to look after an actress who has suddenly stopped speaking. The two women are close to the same age and they quickly become close friends, all the while the actress never speaks. They eventually become lovers but the nurse is troubled by the fact that the actress still does not speak, leading to the nurse becoming agitated and doing everything she can to get the actress to speak again, likely resulting in some sort of violence. Character choice and PB is up to you.

College is a great place to get a life - Anywhere from 1940 to the present, set in any typical American university. One of the in-coming Freshmen is as pure as snow, probably very religious, and is away from home for the first time. The Freshman meets a world-wise, experienced Sophomore, who shows him/her the other side of life. This would be a corruption or possibly a redemption line, that along with the character choice, gender and PB, is up to you.

The Nature of Love: Set in the southern United States anywhere between the beginning of the Civil War to just before the US enters WWII. A white wealthy/prominent/professional woman falls in love with a poor/enslaved black/mixed-race woman. Their relationship is a secret and undoubtedly runs into a few problems, many dependent on the era we decide on. Character choice and PB is up to you.

Life on Sunset Blvd. - Set somewhere between 1935 and 1965. One of them is a major motion picture star, the other is their assistant/lover. Their relationship is a sick and twisted one, and while they apparently care for each other, the star is doing their best to squash the assistant's dreams of being a filmmaker/screenwriter/actor/actress. Character choice, gender and PB is up to you.

GROUP PSLS
Living Dead - A group of reapers meet every morning at a restaurant, receive their post-its and try to go on with their undead lives while reaping a soul or two.

The Lazarus Project - A group of criminals are 'killed' by the state, but wake up weeks later in a secluded Mental Institution as inmates or as staff members. They are made to think their memories are false or are a part of their psychosis, but eventually they band together to discover what happened and who did this to them.

I'm no Superman - A hospital of Doctors, Nurses, Interns, Orderlies and other staff do everything they can to get by, but there is more to them than their occupations suggest. They are people just like everyone else, with the same hopes, dreams, fears and relationship troubles.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away... - A group of Jedi Knights are assigned to aide a group of settlers forming a colony on a harsh, unexplored world. But no mission is ever as it seems and as always there are unforeseen complications.

Corruptable - Set in the mid to late 1700's, all characters are dealing with some form of a love triangle. Ideas for each: A mistress must cope with her lover's young wife who he has now fallen in love with. A wife fights for her husband's affections though he loves a young man who does not love him in return. A wife that must choose between loving husband and her female lover. A husband in love with his brother's wife. A man falls in love with his stepdaughter and must compete with his son for her affection. A son in love with a cold and distant mother.

11/16/08 07:30 pm - About me

Someone somewhere along the line started calling me Mari, I liked the way it sounded so I've stuck with it ever since. But you may call me whatever you like, I'm even fine with 'hey you there', I'm not picky as long as it isn't crude.

As experience goes I've got several years, first few on AIM, AOL Chats, and email, after that it's all been in journals (First LJ, then GJ, and finally IJ). Added all up it's about eight to nine years, but please don't be intimidated by that thought. I prefer quality over quantity and write anywhere from two to four paragraphs a post, but I generally end up matching whoever I'm playing with.

I'm 21 years old, but have no social life to speak of, I spend most of my free moments here. I'm a full time university student, so free time isn't as ample as I'd like it to be, but I'm on or around most of the time. My time zone is CST (UTC - 6 hours), if you were curious.

  • I only RP in journals and email these days, I just can't seem get used to AIM again. I've also recently discovered GoogleDocs, so that would be fine.

  • Willing to play both genders, though I tend towards females (as I am one).

  • I'll do het, slash and femmeslash, but I've never done male slash before so don't expect greatness.

  • I don't do this for smut. I realize that while playing a couple sex happens, rather frequently in some cases, and I'm fine with it. But when every post is just smut, I draw the line.

  • What I love most in the world is some who can fit in at least one reply/tag/post a day. I don't like to spend a whole week on a post with just five or six replies. I will love and adore you if you are active, even more so if we can manage to finish a thread together!

  • I tend to go for darker and more adult themes (not just sex, mind you). If anything that would get an R-rating or higher bothers you, I suggest you move right along at this point. Again, I'm sorry, I'm perfectly happy to do lighter things, but knowing the way I write I would come back to the dark eventually and I don't want to make you uncomfortable.

  • I prefer original characters and situations. I don't do Celebs. I only do certain fandoms, and at this point I'm only interested in certain media/cannon characters, all the rest would be OCs set in that universe. My fandoms are: Batman, Doctor Who/Torchwood, Star Wars, Dead Like Me, Firefly, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Kings.

  • Anything else you think I may have forgotten or questions, just comment here and I should reply back to you fairly quickly.
